I’ve been a professional musician – French Horn – for over 25 years. Yes, I am old. Since I’ve moved back to Phoenix, that type of work has fallen off the radar and I play for fun these days… but still, I think there is more on the horizon for me in terms of the horn. Not sure if that will be here, but we’ll see.
I had been relating a lot of my personal experiences over the years with different teachers, colleagues, and performers to my sweetie. He notices how my eyes light up when I recount these experiences and has encouraged me to write about them. I thought blog. I was also looking to collect others’ experiences in this wacky field of music.
Who have I worked with? It’s a “Who’s Who” of professionals. I’ve been extremely fortunate in my life to work with some talented folks. I’ve also been fortunate in my life to study with people that are the tops in their field. Specifically, well… I’ll get to that eventually.
Meanwhile, sit back, and enjoy the ride. Also, PLEASE contribute if you want. This could be FUN. Meanwhile, I have to get the Opie-cat off the other laptop; he keeps ordering designer cat-toys and as Steve Martin discovered, you can’t return ‘em when they have cat spit all over them.
